Goodday,
Currently I'm looking for someone that enjoys reading English and would like to take
a gander at the current flow of my book. You can take your time with reading and
throwing back some constructive feedback.
It's an urban-fantasy and does have a little gore here and there.
A small sample of my writing style:
" Ricky regained concious, slowly. She noticed the beeping in her ears, muffling the sounds of
her surroundings. Her vision was blurry but she could make out a shimmering light coming from
somewhere, up there, ahead. As she moved her hand to her face she felt small objects slipping
through her fingers. They made a rinkling sound as if it were coins.
Only now she noticed she was lying on her back and she tried her best to lift her torso up.
She succeeded but had to grab her head in agonny. Whatever these things were, she was
apparently half burried in them.
Ricky blinked a few times to adjust her sight. They were bullet shells. Thousands of them, in
piles in every direction she looked. As her eyes addapted more to the darkness she could make
out this was a cellar. She found the stair, littlered with bullet shells and three human bodies.
They had no sign of life from this distance. Nor did the other seven bodies she saw around her.
To her left she saw, what appeared to look like, the bottom-half of a human statue. Another
one to her far right, but only headless.
With much effort she managed to get up on one knee and one foot. She was nakid, apparently.
A chill ran over her spine when she noticed a bone sticking out the top of the human statue to her
left, placing the retouricle question if it has always been a statue."
TL;DR: I need test-readers!
